ServiceOutcome is a marketplace, not a service provider

ServiceOutcome (operated by ServiceOutcome) connects consumers with independent service providers. We do not perform services ourselves. We are not a contractor, a tradesperson, an inspector, or a licensed practitioner of any field represented on the platform.

ServiceOutcome is NOT a party to your contract

When you accept a quote or any counter-offer on ServiceOutcome, you and the other party will exchange identities and proceed to finalize an agreement directly between yourselves.

The contract for the work — scope, schedule, materials, warranty, payment terms, refund policy, dispute resolution, and every other detail — is yours to negotiate and yours to honor. ServiceOutcome is not a signatory, not an intermediary, not an arbiter, and not your legal counsel.

We strongly recommend that before money changes hands, the consumer and provider write down the agreed scope, price, timeline, and any warranties — in a text message, email, or written contract. ServiceOutcome preserves the negotiation history on-platform as a reference, but the binding agreement is yours to create.

Future releases of ServiceOutcome may offer optional structured contract templates or mediation services for specific service categories. These will be opt-in additions that do not alter our fundamental status as a non-party to the consumer-provider agreement.

Self-reported credentials

Provider-supplied license numbers, certifications, business registrations, trades, and other professional credentials are self-reported and are not independently verified by ServiceOutcome. Consumers are strongly advised to confirm credentials with the issuing authority (state contractor's board, professional licensing body, etc.) before engaging a provider for paid work.

Off-platform settlement

All payment between consumers and providers happens off-platform (cash, Zelle, Venmo, check, bank transfer, etc.).ServiceOutcome does not collect, hold, or transfer funds on behalf of either party. ServiceOutcome is not a payment processor and assumes no liability for payment disputes between users.

No warranty of work

ServiceOutcome makes no representations or warranties about the quality, safety, legality, or completeness of work performed by providers. Reviews are user-generated and reflect individual experience, not endorsement by ServiceOutcome.

Anonymity is not anonymity from authorities

While ServiceOutcome preserves anonymity between consumers and providers prior to quote acceptance, this anonymity does not extend to legal authorities. ServiceOutcome will respond to valid legal process requesting user information.

User responsibility for compliance

Consumers and providers are responsible for compliance with applicable local, state, and federal laws — including licensing, permitting, insurance, tax reporting, and occupational health and safety requirements. ServiceOutcome does not advise on compliance and does not assume liability for user non-compliance.

Beta status

ServiceOutcome is currently in beta. Features may change without notice. Data integrity is supported but not guaranteed during this period.
